These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Pest In The West website and, where applicable, pest control, termite inspection and termite management services provided by Pest In The West.
By requesting a quote, booking a service or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are based on the information provided to Pest In The West at the time of enquiry and may be subject to change if the property, pest problem, treatment requirements or scope of work differ from the information originally provided.
Where additional work or treatment is required, we will discuss this with you before proceeding wherever reasonably practicable.
Unless otherwise stated, quoted prices include GST where applicable.
Appointments and Property Access
Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the areas of the property required for inspection or treatment.
Some areas may not be inspected or treated where access is restricted, unsafe or otherwise impracticable.
Where relevant, customers must follow any preparation instructions provided before an appointment. Failure to adequately prepare the property may affect our ability to complete the service and may require the appointment to be rescheduled.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
Pest In The West may need to reschedule an appointment due to weather conditions, technician availability, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where this occurs.
Pest Control Treatments
Pest activity and treatment outcomes can vary depending on factors including the pest species, severity of infestation, property conditions, surrounding environment and customer cooperation.
Some treatments may require time to achieve their intended result, and pest activity may temporarily remain visible following treatment.
Where follow-up treatments or ongoing pest management are recommended, these will be explained to the customer.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, a pest control treatment does not guarantee that pests will never return to the property.
Termite Inspections
A termite inspection is an assessment of accessible areas of the property at the time of inspection.
Termites can remain concealed within buildings and other structures, and some areas may be inaccessible or unable to be fully inspected. For this reason, a termite inspection cannot guarantee that termites are completely absent from a property.
Any limitations identified during an inspection will be noted where appropriate, and further investigation may be recommended.
Customers should follow recommendations regarding future inspections, treatment, monitoring and termite-risk reduction.
Termite Treatments and Management Systems
The appropriate termite treatment or management approach will depend on the individual property, termite activity, construction, accessibility and other relevant conditions.
Where a termite treatment or management system is installed, customers should follow any inspection, monitoring, maintenance or other requirements provided by Pest In The West or applicable to the particular system.
Any specific warranty or service conditions relating to a termite management system will be communicated separately where applicable.
Safety and Customer Responsibilities
Customers must follow any preparation, safety and post-treatment instructions provided by Pest In The West.
This may include requirements concerning children, pets, food, personal belongings, access to treated areas and ventilation.
Customers should advise Pest In The West before treatment of any circumstances at the property that may reasonably affect how the service should be performed.
Weather Conditions
Certain exterior pest-control and termite-management work may be affected by weather conditions.
Where weather is likely to materially affect the safe or appropriate application of a treatment, Pest In The West may modify or reschedule the relevant part of the service.
Payment
Payment is due in accordance with the payment terms stated on the relevant quote, invoice or other agreement.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the information provided for invoicing purposes is accurate.
